Statement of Faith

The Scriptures
We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and is our final authority in all matters pertaining to doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. [Timothy 3:16-17]

God
We believe in only one true God; One in essence, nature, and attributes, but existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [1 John 5:7]

Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His shed blood on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins, and in the His bodily resurrection and ascension to Heaven. We do not believe that He is a way to God, but rather the only way through which we can receive righteousness, new birth, and the right relationship with God. He is in fact our salvation. [1 Corinthians 1:30-31]

Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, expressed with speaking in tongues [Acts 1:8; 2:4; 9:17; 10:44-46; 11:15-16]. We believe that this experience is distinct from and subsequent to conversion, and is received by faith.
We believe that the gifts and manifestations of the holy spirit are for the common good and building up of others today.

Salvation
We believe that all who, in repentance and faith, receive the Lord Jesus as the Saviour and Lord are truly saved. [Acts 20:20-21; Romans 10:9-13]
We believe in water baptism by total emersion as a public confession of our faith and identify us with the death and resurrection of Jesus [Romans 6:4]

Healing
We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross has provided physical healing for our bodies. [Matthew 8:16-17; Isiah 53:4; 1 Peter 2:24]
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust; the former to everlasting life and the latter to everlasting damnation. [Matthew 25:46]

The Second Coming
We believe that the Lord Jesus will return literally and physically to the earth. [1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:16-17]

The Church
We believe that the universal Church is comprised of all true believers who have received salvation through Jesus Christ, and this is expressed through the local Church.
